Severe storms in the Hunter Valley this morning

No hot air balloons aloft the hunter valley this morning
This morning the valley awoke to the sounds of thunder. A line of storm cells swept through the Hunter Valley this morning just before dawn. High winds, rain and a fantastic light show were there for us all to see. A very wet and cold start for the ANZAC day services. Cooranbong, just south of where the hot air balloons fly received 34mm of rain overnight with 23mm falling in just 10 minutes. If there was ever a good morning to be warm and dry in bed and not in a hotair balloon, then this morning was it.
Let’s keep our fingers crossed that the rest of the weekend looks a little better.
