More than a balloon flight

Balloon tours of the hunter valley

More of an aerial wine tour that a balloon flight across the Hunter valley is what we try and offer. Today was the perfect example. Taking off at 6:30am across the road from the Earnest Hill vineyard.  The first place we fly over is the recently completed Saint Phillips Christian school before we fly up Wine Country drive with the Lovedale vineyard of Mount Pleasant to our left and Capercalli to our right.  After 10 minutes we cross into the Lovedale wine growing region as we drift over the Crowne Plaza resort and watch the early morning golfers tee off.  Once clear of the resort we drop down low into the Debortoli estate to find some Kangaroos for our overseas guests.  Within minutes we are over 1000 feet up looking down at Lakes Folly, Lamblock and the old Len Evans estates.  Then back down to the tree level over Hope estate to check out more Kangaroos and the stage ready for the Dolly Parton concert on the weekend. First Creek wines next followed by Littles estate and then back up to look across at the Broken back ranges before we head off to the north end of Pokolbin.  We overfly another 4 or 5 wineries before coming to land at our favourite farmers paddock at 7:20.  Quickly pack up then back to the Mercure resort for bubbles and breakfast.  If this sounds like your sort of balloon ride over the Hunter valley give us a call 1300 80 70 24
